Palmetto State Armory L is Hiring a Repair Technician Near West Columbia, SC
JOB PURPOSE |
Responsible for the properly aligning, torquing, troubleshooting, and correcting common issues with PSA manufactured firearms.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Assembling of PSA firearms in their entirety.
- Responsible for the properly aligning, torquing, troubleshooting, and correcting common issues with the AR15.
- Communicates with customers to clearly explain problems and provides knowledgeable solutions.
- Uses various search engines for troubleshooting malfunctions or design deficiencies.
- Identities blemishes, crooked rails, gas tubes, FSBs etc.
- Completes reports via Google Drive in a timely manner.
- Responds to customers via email and in writing in a timely manner.
- All other duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS |
- High School Diploma (or equivalency)
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- General Firearms functions understanding (i.e. safety, different types, different actions, how direct impingement works, AR terminology, etc.)
- Min. 1 Year experience in Firearms manufacturing (preferably 18 months)
- Gunsmith Certification Preferred, if you do not have one you need to get one within a year to maintain this position.
- Knowledge Microsoft Office (computers in general)
- Must have a friendly/sociable attitude with customers, while working to find a solution for them.
- Problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in understanding the AR15 proper alignment, torque, and multiple calibers.
- Understand the workings, troubleshooting and correcting common issues.
- Must be able to communicate and interact with customers in a professional manner at all times. (i.e. clearly explain problems and provide knowledgeable solutions)
- Quality Control minded, identifying blemishes and crooked rails.
- Must be able to troubleshoot and correct malfunctioning firearms.
- Self-Motivated and performs with minimal supervision.
- Must be flexible.
- Must comply with all environmental and safety rules, and practices.
- PSA Manufacturing experience preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS |
Work is performed in an operational manufacturing warehouse environment. While performing regular duties, this position is exposed to various chemicals and solvents. May require working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS |
This position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping and stretching, and full range of body motion including handling and lifting up to 75 pounds frequently, manual and finger dexterity, as well as a normal range of hearing and vision.
